Finally, we have some exciting news. Windham will be offering our first ever Adaptive Cheer Team, the MIGHTY WOLVERINES. Take a moment to read the message below from Tracy Flynn.
"My name is Tracy Flynn and I am one of the coaches for the newly formed Inspirational Cheerleading Team in Windham called the Mighty Wolverines. The Mighty Wolverines will be for athletes in the ages of 5 years old as of July 31st up to 21 years old on or before July 31st.
The Mighty Wolverine coaches include a Registered Nurse in Pediatric and Mental Health, a Special Educator, and an Adaptive Sports Coach. Our program will not only be coached by well qualified coaches, but we will also be utilizing Peer Partners and are open to Peer Partners from other associations. All Peer Partners will have to go through an application process before being selected.
For our first year the Mighty Wolverines will be primarily focused on building athletes’ skills and learning the love of cheerleading. The team will perform on a competition routine as a goal for the New Hampshire State Championship. As the season progresses, we will determine if they are ready for the invitational competitions held within the state. The team will practice once a week, Wednesday 6-7:30 pm at Windham High School for the summer. The fall schedule will most likely be on Wednesday, 4:30-6 at Windham Center School. The team will also cheer on the sidelines during the season.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to working with you during this season in forming an Inspirational team our towns can be proud to send athletes to.
Please reach out with any questions, Tracy Flynn 603-765-8905 or firstname.lastname@example.org"
